Type K8
The series K8 is manufactured with plates in SAE 1020 steel, pins and bushings in SAE 8620 steel, hardness between 58 – 62 HRC.

General Information

Types of finishing

Tipo 3: Rough side with surface finish, thickness tolerance of ± 3 mm.
Type 4: Machined side with rectified surface finish, tolerance in thickness of ± 3 mm.
Type 7: Rough side with surface finish, thickness tolerance determined
Type 8: Machined side with surface finish rectified, thickness tolerance determined

* Tolerance of parallelism between the faces: ± 0.01 mm every 100 mm (up to 1200 mm) and ± 0.02 mm every 100 mm (above 1200 mm plates).
* Squareness between face and guide pins:

Type

The die settype is determined according to the layout of the columns (Example: K3, K6, K8, K10 and K12).

Steel

The plates of the die sets are supplied in SAE 1020 steel or other types of steels by prior appointment

Assembly

There are two ways of assembly
Type 1: Without intermediate plate
Type 2: With intermediate plate

Tolerance class

The selection of tolerance between columns and bushing (Tolerance Class ) which is determined by the following way:
CF. 1 (small): Indicated for cutting tolerances less than 0.02 mm
CF. 2 (medium): Indicated for cutting tolerances between 0.02 to 0,06mm
CF. 3 (large)> Indicated for cutting tolerances between above 0,06mm

Example: To determine the Die set Code K8 with an useful area of 300x200 with P1 and P2 of 39 mm, Assembly of type 1, proceed as follows:

  • Locate the catalog the die set type to be used Ex: K8
  • Identify on Polibase table K6 the useful area: A2=300 and B2= 200
  • Indique as espessuras de placas a serem utilizadas: P1 = 3 (espessura 39 mm) e P2 = 3
  • Defina o tipo de montagem

After you determine the Polibase, indicate the length of the Pin and bushing type being used.

Choice the assembly

Mounting 1: Polibase without intermediate plate
Mounting 2: Polibase with intermediate plate, additional plate provided always with thickness smaller a code below, in relation to greater plate on the die set.
NOTE: The intermediate plate mounting 2 will be provided with extra-small flange bushings. If the client does not specify another type.
